Asteroid 22 Kalliope is a large main belt asteroid discovered on November 16, 1852 by John Russell Hind. She takes near five years to orbit the Sun, spending up to 5-6 months in a sign, retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 84 Klio is a large main belt asteroid discovered on August 12th, 1865 by Robert Luther. She takes just over three and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending roughly three or so months in each sign, retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 62 Erato is a large main belt asteroid discovered on September 14th, 1860 by Oskar Lesser and Wilhelm Foster. She takes three years to orbit the Sun, spending around two and half months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 27 Euterpe is a large main belt asteroid and one of the brightest in the night sky. Discovered on November 8th, 1853 by John Russell Hind, she takes three and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending roughly two and half months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 18 Melpomene is a large main belt asteroid discovered on June 24th, 1852 by John Russell Hind. She takes three and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending around two and a half months in each sign, orbit and retrograde dependent.

Asteroid 33 Polyhymnia is a main belt asteroid discovered on October 28th, 1854 by Jean Chacornac. She takes near to five years to orbit the Sun, spending around two and a half months in each sign, retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 81 Terpsichore is a very dark main belt asteroid discovered on September 30th, 1864 by Ernst Temple. Taking just over four and a half years to orbit the Sun, she spends roughly three and half months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 23 Thalia is a main belt asteroid discovered on December 15th, 1852 by John Russell Hind. She takes just under four and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending around two and a half months in each sign, retrograde and orbit dependent.

Asteroid 30 Urania is a large main belt asteroid discovered on July 22nd, 1854 by John Russell Hind. She takes over three years to orbit the Sun, spending around two months in each sign, retrograde and orbit dependent.

 

MYTHOLOGY

All of the Muses are daughters of Zeus.

CALLIOPE – the eldest of the muses and the mother of Orpheus. She was noted as the Muse of epic poetry and eloquence, bestowing her gifts on Kings and Princes.

CLIO – was the mother of Hyacinth and was the Muse of History. Her name means ‘to make famous’ and she is represented by the tablet, or scrolls. She was also known as the Proclaimer.

ERATO – meaning ‘delightful’ and ‘beloved’, Erato was the Muse of the lyrical word, especially love based and erotic poetry.

EUTERPE – was the ‘Giver of Delight’ and the Muse of music.

MELPOMENE – symbolized wearing a tragic mask, she was originally known as the Muse of Singing but was more well known as the Muse of Tragedy.

POLYHYMNIA – one of the more serious and quiet of the Muses, she was the Muse of sacred poetry, hymn, agriculture and pantomime.

TERPSICHORE – said to be the mother of the Sirens, Terpsichore is the Muse of Dance.

THALIA – meaning ‘to bloom’, she was the Muse of Comedy.

URANIA – was the Muse of Astronomy, who could foretell the future by the placement of the stars.

CLIO – historian, teacher, historical novelist (either technical or creative writer) – this could also be a spot in the natal where your ‘claim to fame’ lies.

ERATO – definitely those inclined to write romantic/adult content novels and the like.

EUTERPE – the musician on all levels, from classical to punk, radio , DJ, composer

MELPOMENE – acting, singing, psychotherapist, social worker, horror/thriller author

POLYHYMNIA – acting, therapist, poet,gardening, natural therapies, alternative practices, mystic

TERPSICHORE – dancer, massage therapist, physiotherapist, fitness trainer

THALIA – TV personality, comedian, comedy writer,

URANIA – astrologer, psychic, mystic, priest, artist, painter, photographer

To understand your natal Muses, placement – sign and house – will show the talent, then on to aspects as to extra information about the ‘talent’. Then the next topic is rulership and placement of the ruler, and onwards regards to aspects and everything affecting that
